主讲人简介:
黄乃正教授是中大新亚书院院长、理学院院长及化学讲座教授。一九七三年,黄教授于中大取得一级荣誉理学士学位,随即获蚬壳留英奖学金赴英国伦敦大学学院进修,于七六年获颁哲学博士学位后,再赴美国哈佛大学从事博士后研究两年。一九七九至八零年,黄教授任英国Ramsay纪念研究员,展开独立研究工作;八零至八二年担任中国科学院上海有机化学研究所副研究员。黄教授于八三年返回中大任教,曾于九五至九七年任中大化学系系主任,并于九七至零二年任大学教务会学生纪律委员会主席,零二至一零年七月出任香港中文大学新亚书院院长,零九至一三年出任副校长;零四至一三年出任研究事务委员会主席;以及零六至一三年出任教材设置拨款委员会主席。
黄教授的研究方向为天然及非天然化合物之有机合成,现为多份国际及内地化学期刊编委、资深评委或学术谘询委员。一九九四年,英国伦敦大学颁予黄教授科学博士学位。黄教授亦积极贡献内地的科研发展,他现为中国科学院上海有机化学研究所沪港化学合成联合实验室管理委员会主席,并出任多所内地大学的客座及顾问教授。历年来,黄教授获多项殊荣,包括中国国家自然科学二等奖(一九九七年)、香港裘槎基金会杰出研究奖(一九九九至二零零零年);并分别于九九年、零四年及一五年获选为中国科学院院士、发展中世界科学院(前称第三世界科学院)院士及港科院院士。
Brief Introduction of Professor Henry N.C. Wong
Professor Henry N.C. Wong is currently Head of New Asia College, Dean of Science and Professor of Chemistry. He obtained his B.Sc. degree with first class honours from CUHK in 1973, and was subsequently awarded a Shell Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies in the United Kingdom. He furthered his studies at University College London where he obtained his Ph.D. in 1976. After two postdoctoral research years at Harvard University, Professor Wong returned to University College London to begin his independent research undertaking as Ramsay Memorial Fellow. From 1980 to 1982, Professor Wong did research at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, The Chinese Academy of Sciences. He returned to CUHK in 1983 and was the Chairman of the Department of Chemistry from 1995 to 1997, and the Senate Committee on Student Discipline from 1997 to 2002. Professor Wong was Head of New Asia College of CUHK from 2002 to July 2010 and was Pro-Vice-Chancellor/ Vice-President from 2009 to 2013. He chaired the Research Committee from 2004 to 2013 and the Academic Equipment Grant Committee from 2006 to 2013 respectively.
Professor Wong’s research interests are concerned with the syntheses and studies of natural and non-natural molecules. He serves on the editorial boards of several international and national journals. He received the degree of Doctor of Science from the University of London in 1994. Professor Wong has also been actively contributing to the research and scientific development on the mainland. He is Chairman of the Management Committee, Shanghai-Hong Kong Joint Laboratory in Chemical Synthesis, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, The Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is also an honorary professor and guest professor of many tertiary institutions in Mainland China. Professor Wong has received many prestigious awards over the years. He won the 2nd Class State Natural Science Award of China in 1997. He was a Croucher Senior Research Fellow in 1999-2000 and was elected to The Chinese Academy of Sciences, The World Academy of Sciences for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries (TWAS) (formerly known as The Third World Academy of Sciences), and The Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong in 1999, 2004 and 2015 respectively.

主讲人简介:
江松,应用数学家,北京应用物理与计算数学研究所研究员。1982年毕业于四川大学数学系,1984年在西安交通大学获硕士学位,1988年在德国波恩大学获博士学位,1996年获德国教授(授课)资格(Habilitation)。2015年当选中国科学院院士。
主要从事可压缩流体力学数学理论、计算方法及应用研究。在(高维)可压缩Navier-Stokes方程的适定性理论、小马赫数极限、流体与磁流体Rayleigh-Taylor不稳定性的数学分析研究方面取得了一系列重要成果,例如对任何绝热指数γ>1,与合作者证明了具有大外力的三维定常可压缩Navier-Stokes方程弱解的存在性。在应用方面,针对武器物理数值模拟的多介质大变形、网格畸变等计算难点,合作提出了若干实用的新算法,并研制完成重大武器型号数值模拟软件平台。
获国家自然科学二等奖、中国青年科技奖、求是杰出青年奖等。
Brief Introduction of Professor Song Jiang
Song Jiang, an applied mathematician, is Professor at the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics (IAPCM). He took an undergraduate degree (B.Sc) in 1982 at Sichuan University, received a master degree in 1984 at Xi'an Jiaotong University and a Ph.D in 1988 at University of Bonn. He also received a Habilitation degree in 1996 at Germany. He was elected as an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015.
Song Jiang’s main research areas lie in mathematical theory, computing methods for compressible fluid mechanics and their applications. He has made a series of significant achievements in well-posedness and low Mach number limits for (multi-dimensional) compressible Navier-Stokes equations, and the mathematical analysis for the Rayleigh-Taylor instability in gas dynamics and MHD. Especially, for any adiabatic exponent γ>1, collaborated with others, he proved existence of weak solutions to three-dimensional steady compressible Navier-Stokes equations with large forces. Besides, aiming at the difficulties of multicomponent large distortion and mesh distortion in numerical simulation of weapon physics, he put forward in cooperation several practical new algorithms and developed a software platform for numerical simulation of major weapon models.
Among many awards he has received include: Second prize of Chinese National Natural Science, First Prize of the Military Science and Technology Progress, The National Award for Youth in Science and Technology, and Qiushi Outstanding Youth Award.
